I’m Lori Westling, a Dog Trainer with a Certified Professionsal Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed certification (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. I am passionate about creating happy, relationship based canine partnerships.

When it comes to dog training, I believe connection is key. When you and your dog have a relationship based on trust and partnership, the other skills come more easily. To foster trust, I’ll show you and your dog how to check in with each other.

In our sessions together, your dog will learn that they can look to you for guidance. You’ll learn how to read your dog to help them cope with whatever comes along.

I've noticed that these concepts are often missing in dog training— the focus tends to be on telling our dogs what to do. I've found that listening to our dogs creates more cooperative and connected partners.  A well trained, connected dog is a joy to live with and take out into the community.
